Camden, NJ - Cooper Cancer Institute has been a leading provider of cancer care and diagnosis in New Jersey for years. Cooper is the only facility in Southern New Jersey partnered with The Cancer Institute of New Jersey. This partnership increases access to the latest clinical trials and cutting edge scientific advances, for the treatment of all types of malignancies and blood disorders.

The Cooper Health System celebrated the official groundbreaking for its new state-of-the-art cancer treatment center on the Cooper Health Sciences Campus.  The four-story, 103,050 square feet Cooper Cancer Institute will expand access to cancer care in South Jersey by providing a full range of cancer care services and specialists all under one roof. Team Draft will visit this new facility, and also speak with Wissam Abouzgheib, MD, the Director of Interventional Pulmonologist, and discuss some of the latest diagnostic tools Cooper is using for lung cancer. Team Draft will also meet with Frank Bowen, MD Cooper’s Cardiothoracic Surgeon, and discus using robotic surgery for lung resections and how our lung cancer patients benefit from this technology.

Team Draft, an initiative of the CDFF launched by Draft and his late wife Keasha during Keasha’s year-long battle with Stage IV Lung Cancer, is leading a national campaign to change the face of lung cancer by shattering the misconception that lung cancer is a “smoker’s disease.”
