Ms. Hinds

Atlanta, Ga.

Ms. Hinds is a teacher at Norcross Elementary in Atlanta, Ga.

I have been working in the public school setting for almost ten years now.  This wonderful experience has afforded me many opportunities and taught me several lessons along the way.  I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education.  My student teaching was done at Hallandale Elementary School, located in Hallandale Florida.  Once completed, I was hired to teach Kindergarten.  I taught Kindergarten for three years and First grade for one.  In 2005, I relocated to Atlanta, Georgia.  I secured a teaching position at Norcross Elementary School to teach First grade.  One year later, I enrolled at Piedmont College to pursue my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  The following year I continued on and earned a Specialist Degree in Leadership.

Teaching has been my calling since I was a young child growing up in Kingston, Jamaica.  I can recall playing school during recess and having a joyous feeling in my heart each and every day.  Getting this chance to live my dream now is spectacular!  I get to teach and learn from twenty-three minds every day.  I teach so I can inspire and be inspired.  I teach so that I can make a difference.
