Tiyanna Way and Family Tackling Asthma in Jacksonville

Middle school student at Sadie Tillis,Tiyanna Way from Jacksonville, Florida, has battled with asthma since she was only five years old.  With common things such as second-hand smoke, dust or just the cold weather outside triggering her asthma, Tiyanna is forced to take medications on a daily basis, morning and night. Even with that being the case, she does not let that place any limitations on her daily activity. Now at the age of eleven, Tiyanna can proudly say that she is tackling her asthma and doing all she can to live a healthy life.

Tiyannna's mother, Jeannette Way, stated, "Tiyanna and I both had to first realize how serious this condition actually is; after that we learned different ways on how to control it and how she should properly take her medications."  Tiyanna has also become active with the American Lung Association in Florida, as well as she attends Camp Boggy Creek every summer, a camp designed for children with asthma.

Although Tiyanna currently is not active in any sports or extracurricular activities, she does hope to become a cheerleader in the near future, and even then she does not plan on letting her asthma stop her in any way.
Chris Draft and The Draft Family Foundation says "Go Tiyanna Way" for tackling asthma in Jacksonville, Florida.
