Horatio Benedict Blades is a linebacker for the Washington Redskins.

He attended Plantation High School in Plantation, Fla., where he set school records for tackles in a career (409), season (154) and game (21).


Is the son of Bennie Blades, who played safety for the Detroit Lions from 1988-96 and the Seattle Seahawks in 1997.
Also the nephew of former Seahawks wide receiver Brian Blades (1988-1998) and the late Al Blades, who played on San Francisco’s practice squad in 2001.
Was an administration of justice major at Pittsburgh.

Joined President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House Easter Egg Roll to help kids learn the value of good health during the 2010 offseason.

Joined teammates for Jason Taylor Foundation’s “Cool Gear for the School Year” Event, in which 50 area children received a shopping spree at Old Navy, and participated in “Randle El Warms Up Washington’s Youth” where he assisted in passing out coats to area youth during the 2008 season.
