Rocky McIntosh is a linebacker for the Washington Redskins.

Attended Gaffney High School in Gaffney, S.C.

Was one of the top linebackers in the nation earning SuperPrep All-American honors.

Named to the South Carolina Shrine Bowl team.

Married to Alessia and the couple has a son, Gavin Elijah McIntosh.

Enrolled in a workshop at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2009 - an NFL program that helps assist players in preparing for their post-playing careers.

Was the Redskins nominee for the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2007.

Active in Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation events during the 2009 season: encouraged physical activity during “1st Down for Fitness,” and the “What Moves U Challenge”; read to local students to promote literacy as part of the Redskins Read program; distributed Thanksgiving food and turkeys to local families at Redskins Harvest Feast; took local underprivileged children Christmas shopping at Holiday Wishes Come True; handed out coats to needy children as part of Randle El Warms Up Washington’s Youth, and participated in Skins Santa Shoppe.

Took part in the Carter Fitness Boot Camp, hosted by Andre and Bethany Carter, which launched a long-term program with a group of local students geared at teaching them how to eat healthy and be physically active.

Spent time with wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Participated in several Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation Events in 2008, including the Redskins Read: Sean Taylor Memorial Foundation, where the Charitable Foundation and Ernst & Young made a $15,000 donation to the family library at the Children’s National Medical Center in memory and celebration of the life of Sean Taylor.

Has degrees in criminology and English.

Attended the Wizards Care 2nd Annual Ballers Bowl benefiting the Capital Area Foodbank in 2009.

Hosted Rocky McIntosh Charity Golf Tournament in May 2009 to benefit Loudoun Citizens for Social Justice.
