Community Improvement

About Community Improvement

Change Begins with Action.

“Part of our essential humanity is paying respect to what God gave us and what will be here a long time after we're gone.”
-Bill Clinton

Founder Chris Draft has had the opportunity to play professional football in many cities across the country. No matter what city he may be playing in, the foundation strives to make a lasting impact on that community, even long after Draft has moved on to another team.

This thinking sparked the Community Improvement initiative- an alliance of civic-minded people who are dedicated to providing America’s neighborhoods and communities with safe environments in which to play, learn and grow while adopting healthy lifestyles.

Following the shooting death of St. Louis police officer Norvell Brown, CDFF issued a challenege to the city of St. Louis and organized a cleanup effort of Barrett Brothers Park in St. Louis as a way for residents of the community to stand together and build on something positive.

Through events just like this across the country, CDFF spreads the importance of community improvement. The foundation also maintains several strategic partnerships with organizations like Urban Farming and the United Way.
