Michelle R. - "The Blind Side" Miami

The movie, "The Blind Side," had a great impact on me. I truly felt sadness, empathy, joy and excitement, while watching. First, I felt so bad that Michael had such a traumatic childhood and that he always seemed so sad, yet he was able to keep himself from being caught up in the violence that he grew up in.

He happened to be in the right place at the right time to meet his new "family" and be able to find a sense of belonging and security. At first I thought that it was because the mom had the financial means to take care of him and also knew the right people, but even if Michael had met some of the "ordinary" moms I know, he could have benefitted the same. Michael and his his new family bonded so well and had a true love and devotion to each other.

He was willing to work hard in all aspects, and they were willing to do all they could to help him succeed. I felt so happy for Michael that he could find love, security and success by a chance meeting. Life really is unpredictable but can be incredibly rewarding.
