Julie Kruempel, Director of Marketing for Dance St. Louis, joined the staff in October of 2005. She brought over 23 years of not-for-profit sales, marketing, and PR management experience to the organization.

Graduating from the University of Missouri – Columbia with a BA degree, the majority of her career has been in the St. Louis entertainment/hospitality industry.  Her extensive experience includes long-term employment at such high profile venues as the St. Louis Science Center and the Gateway Arch.  Both of these positions provided her leadership experience in sales and marketing capacities as well as the operations divisions. She has also enjoyed working seasonally for the St. Louis Cardinals in their event operations department since 1996. Ms. Kruempel has been active in several industry associations; serving on the board of directors for the St. Louis Attractions Association for 14 years and elected as their President twice.  She was also appointed to serve on multiple host committees for St. Louis city-wide conventions and has chaired numerous planning committees.
